The Newest Metal

Lately I've been noticing a new trend in jewelry. A new metal has
appeared seemingly from nowhere! It is silver colored and sold at jewelry
stores everywhere. This metal is lack-lustered (dull) and almost looks like
unpolished silver. I've seen it everywhere. In fact, just today I bought a
jumper that had this silver-type metal on it's clasps.
What's it called? Honestly, I'm not sure the technical name for the
compound. But you will find everyone calling it "dull silver" or "unpolished
silver look" jewelry. The metal is a little rougher than silver, and is
therefore used for costume jewelry.
Where can you find this jewelry? Check out Claires and Afterthoughts and
other chains of jewelry stores that sell inexpensive jewelry.
Adding this new metal to your jewelry collection will perk up your accesory
wardrobe. Wear these pieces with gray and make everyone awe at your cute
match.
I would suggest you start your collection of this metal with a bracelet.
These large items show off more of the metal than a necklace or other pieces
and therefore makes the accesory more noticable. It also makes the dull
finish look purposeful instead of appearing to be ill-polished earrings.
