Spring Formal/Tolot

It's almost time for Spring...meaning the big formal dances! Every week
or so, I'll try to come up with a brand new look to satisfy everyone's
taste. This week, it's all about the slinky, sexy feeling of silk.
There are some great dresses at Girlshop (www.girlshop.com). One in
particular is a green halter dress from Tono Su Tono. It's downright
gorgeous. The cut is perfect, with the weather being not too hot, and
not too cold, it won't leave you feeling drenched from heat or frozen
from the lack of it.
Pair your dress off with some strappy ankle tie shoes. Try 'Allay' from
Nine West (www.ninewest.com). Ankle tie shoes is a pretty big trend
right now, but if you're a bit hesitant about that kind of shoe, try
'Attire,' also from Nine West.
As for the hair and makeup, if you have long hair, put them in loose
curls so that they have the effect of cascading down from your
shoulders. If it's short, add some volume to it, then clip it to one
side. Keep your makeup simple. Almost as if you're glowing. Try a
bronzer (make sure to do a test run at least a week before your dance!)
all over your face and body, then pump up your lashes with fake lashes
and keep your lips looking natural.
