Christmas Party Time!
12/13/99
What should I wear to a Christmas party? It will be kind of
dressy, but
kind of not. Should you paint nails red and wear red lip
stick, or is
that overkill? Also, are "Christmas sweaters and earrings and
stuff"
dorky or OK?
Thanks a bunch,
Stacey
With this letter in mind, my topic is "What to
wear to a Christmas Party",
pretty slick topic huh! Well, I think that the red nails is a
cute idea. I
usually add some green to mine. Girls I know do lots of stuff
to their nails
in red and green for the holidays. I'd hold off on the red
lipstick, it
might be just a little too much.
The Christmas sweater,
earrings, and socks,
etc. ideas are really cute. I am sure you won't be the only
person wearing
that kind of thing. Since it IS a Christmas party. If you
feel cool in it,
than it is cool. If you want to make sure you aren't alone,
just to be sure,
call a friend who's going and have her wear a festive sweater
and stuff too!
I think it's cool. If anyone doesn't feel okay in all that
kinda deal, a red
or green or combo sweater is cute too. This would work
wonderfully with
black pants, or my fav. khakis. Have you noticed that I really
like khakis?
I wear them a lot when I need to dress up and look good.
The
cutest touches
to your outfit is red and green ribbons or just the kind you
use for
wrapping in your hair. Most places, even K-Mart and stuff have
cheap
Christmas earrings.
If you don't want to wear the red and
green shirt, cause
you feel like a big nerd, or you think it's cheesy, just wear
something
dressy that you would wear to a concert. For example, maybe some
dress pants and a
nice sweater. For shoes, you would
probably want
to go with some dress shoes no matter what you wear. Or some
nice Dr.
Martins. I wear my docs with a lot of dressy things. If it's
not really
dressy, then I just wear them, they look nice too. Thanks for
the question,
and if anyone else has any questions, PLEASE send them in. I'd
love to help
you out!
Always,
Shantel
