Ladies, wondering what to do with your makeup for fall?
With visions of new technology dancing in everyone's heads, the glow of the computer screen is a cyber girl's inspiration for the season. Makeup for fall is fresh, natural, and wearble (Peep Jennifer Lopez's face in her video for "If You Had My Love"). The coolest thing is, it's quick and easy for busy cats on the run.
For a computer friendly face, the key is healthy, glowing skin (Try Cetaphil facial wash, $6.99)! Apply cover-up only where necessary-the barest minimum is the best. For oilier skin, try oil control lotions from Clinique or Prescriptives, and buy blotting tissues from the Body Shop or your local drugstore to use throughout the day.
To extend the neutrality and freshness of your face, pick a natural colored blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks in an upward motion (Blot off any excess blush with a cotton puff). Now that your face is prepped, it's time to get jiggity with the eyes.
You have a choice of hi-tech Cleopatra eyes or smoldering hypnotic eyes. Try the Cleopatra look with black or silver liquid liner extending outwards past your eye lids (top and bottom) or go for techno eyes and smudge the lines around your eye with your fingertip. In the very corners of your eyes, add a little glitter (with a glitter pencil from Stila or Claire's) or a rhinestone for an exotic look for an evening rendezvous. Glitter can also go on your cheekbones to add an ethereal shimmer.
For lips, the rage is for dewy and shiny, so try any neutral gloss (Try Shiseido's Advanced Performance Lip Gloss) or even cherry Chapstick. To transform yourself into a diva for the club scene, stick to one facial feature for accentuations-either eyes or lips, but never both!
Now you're ready to face Y2k with a healthy cyber glow.
